Datasat Digital Entertainment helped develop digital surround sound. It won a Technical Achievement Oscar for Steven Spielberg's 'Jurassic Park'. In 2012, the company entered the high end home cinema market with the launch of the Datasat RS20i. The company asked The Garret to develop a marketing strategy to facilitate its move from the professional to the home audio sector.

As the cinema market remained important to the company, The Garret devised a dual strategy where Datasat retained direct communication with its existing cinema customers while the main focus of the marketing effort was to position Datasat product's as a prestige brand in the home cinema space. A re-designed website was partitioned into professional and consumer sections, a new suite of marketing materials was created for the new home product lines and advertising placed within targeted titles. The campaign has helped the Datasat home products become widely viewed by industry experts as the reference by which other products in their category should be judged.
